DALZIEL’S GARAGE  NOW AT EAST CROMWELL STREET, LEITH

Sadly our garage in Pitt Street is gone.

Unfortunately the unprecedented weight of snow brought the roof down in December.

The damage was so severe that the walls became destabilised and there was a real danger of the frontage falling outwards into Pitt Street. The Council’s City Engineer placed a demolition order on the premises and it is now a gap site.

Mercifully, it happened during the night so there were no injuries, just a big mess.

We soon realised that it would be some considerable time before we could rebuild & open up again. The only option was to search for new premises & we were fortunate to find an ideal building just down the road in Leith.

During the last couple of months, we have been very busy installing new equipment, two brand new automated MOT test lanes and excellent workshop facilities.

We are now open for servicing and repairs and hope to have authorisation for MOT testing any day now.

On the plus side the new garage is a lot bigger, brighter, and more modern. We soon will have the facilities to carry out MOT testing on all vehicles up to 3500KG which includes larger vehicles such as Luton vans, motor-homes & class 5 buses.
